Jack Wolfskin is a leading outdoor brand offering technical apparel and gear and is seeking a business minded student to be a part of the 2021 internship season. This internship will give you exposure to the different sales channels and first-hand experience managing components of the operation.This Intern will participate in meaningful and value-added operational and project work at our Park City, UT headquarters and will report into the Marketing division and work across-functionally with the Ecommerce, Sales, and Operations teams.Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesRetail Operations:Jack Wolfskin just launched its first appointment based VIP retail store attached to the corporate office. In this role you will learn firsthand what it takes to build a brand through a retail store operation and how a retail business can fuel ecommerce and wholesale channels:Specific duties may include, but are not limited to:Work closely with the marketing team to push communications & invitations for the VIP store to attract new customers and drive awareness.Service appointments providing customers with a brand overview, educating them on products and technologies and closing transactions.Work closely with the operations team to understand inventory management and replenishment for the retail store, while also learning how to analyze the business results.Learn soup to nuts how to manage a retail operation from music selection, product selection, back-stock management, systems, and customer service.Wholesale Operations:Jack Wolfskin works with several retailers who sell our product but just putting product in their stores is one of many steps in the operation. Learn all the behind the scenes operations needed to successfully manage a wholesale channel.Specific duties may include, but are not limited to:Organize and manage a showroom that features future seasons sample productTrack and coordinate salesmen samplesAssist with the preparation and presentation of products in line showings with accountsBe a face of the brand and help develop product training videosEcommerce Operations:Jack Wolfskin operates its own website. In this role you will learn about the platform and the different components of the site, which serves as a meaningful revenue channel and selling aid for Retail and Wholesale.Specific duties may include, but are not limited to:Manage the Calendly scheduling system integrated into , which drives customers from website to our VIP retail store.Work with the wholesale/ecommerce teams to update the dealer locator that highlights the wholesale partners we work with.Learn what it means to QA an ecommerce site and be an active contributor for the Fall/Winter 2021 season QA.Knowledge, Skills and AbilitiesAbility to work independently as well as part of a teamAbility to effectively communicate in both oral and written form with employees, customers and managementComfort and desire to present information on screen to develop training videos and toolsExperience using Microsoft Office Programs preferred (Excel, Word, Outlook)Ability to move and lift boxes of product (up to 15lbs)Education and/or ExperienceCurrently matriculated student with at least 3 full years coursework completed; coursework in business, marketing, communications, digital, retail helpfulMajoring in Business, Marketing, Retail Management preferredPrevious related internship or prior experience a plus, but not requiredIf you are interested in applying for this position, please visit the Careers page on our company website at and apply online.Callaway Golf is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
